Nestling beside the lane in this beautiful but little known area, Oak Cottage is the last, and we hope the best, of our barn conversions and is perfect for two couples. Whether you want a relaxing retreat or a convenient base to explore the very many attractions on offer in this region, Oak Cottage fits the bill.
Downstairs is a fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, electric oven, ceramic hob, fridge, freezer, washer/dryer, microwave oven and toaster, a dining area with oak table and four chairs, lounge area with comfy leather seating unit, smart TV with Freeview, books, games and a wealth of tourist information.
The downstairs bedroom has a double bed, bedside tables and lamps, wardrobe chest of drawers and and hairdryer.
The ensuite has a shower, toilet, washbasin, heated towel rail and shaver point.
Upstairs is a gallery bedroom with twin beds, built in wardrobe and large cupboards, chest of drawers, blanket box, iron, ironing board, desk and its own seating area with comfy settee, TV with Freeview and built in DVD player. It also has an ensuite bathroom with bath, washbasin, toilet, heated towel rail and shaver point.
Please note that IT IS NOT SUITABLE FOR YOUNG CHILDREN.
The cottage has underfloor heating and tiled floors downstairs, radiator and fitted carpet upstairs and an electric fire downstairs for instant heat or a warm glow on chilly evenings.
Your safety is important to us so it also has smoke alarms, fire extinguishers and first aid kit which we hope will never be used.
Outside is a patio area with table, chairs and umbrella and a barbecue is available on request.
This is a working smallholding so the views from the patio and cottage are of open farmland and our frequently muddy farmyard!
During the summer some of our pedigree Limousin cattle and calves will be out in the fields and they can be nosy and boisterous so we regret that WE CANNOT ACCEPT CHILDREN OR PETS.

Long famous for its potteries and its beer, Staffordshire also lays claim to not one but two of England’s most popular visitor attractions. All the more reason to take a break in one of our holiday cottages in Staffordshire.
Staffordshire’s largest city is Stoke-on-Trent, also known as The Potteries. This has been the centre of Britain’s ceramic industry for centuries, and the home of such famous names as Wedgwood and Royal Doulton. If you’re a fan of good English ale, then our Staffordshire cottage holidays are the ideal opportunity for a visit to Burton-on-Trent, where the unique quality of the water gave rise to the town’s brewing heritage.
But it’s not all industry in Staffordshire. You can enjoy some lovely countryside in the Peak District, Cannock Chase and the Staffordshire Moorlands – great for walking and wildlife enthusiasts. And then there is Alton Towers, one of the UK’s premier visitor attractions with a truly scary selection of rollercoasters, as well as Drayton Manor, which has some exciting white knuckle rides of its own. The small city of Lichfield, which still retains its old world charm is also well worth a visit.
